A grand jury indicted Donte Henley, 24, and Josiah Zachery, 18, for first-degree murder in the February death of 21-year-old Kenneth Lamour, who was shot in the head as he shoveled snow with a non-profit work crew in Jamaica Plain.
The Suffolk County grand jury also indicted Zachery for armed assault with intent to murder and unlawful possession of a firearm for allegedly firing at a Boston Police officer while fleeing the scene, according to a press release from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Police officer John T. Moynihan is now in stable condition after a gunshot to his face on Friday afternoon left him critically injured and the perpetrator dead at the scene. 41- year old Angelo West shot at Moynihan and other members of BPD’s gang unit when they pulled over the car he was driving on Humboldt Avenue in Roxbury around 6:40 on Friday, March 27.
Although Moynihan, 34, was initially put into a medically induced coma, his condition is now improving after undergoing surgery Sunday that removed the bullet lodged in his neck.

A Suffolk Superior Court jury convicted Maurice “Mo” Jones, 21, of first-degree murder Thursday after prosecutors proved that, three years ago, Jones opened fire on two people sitting in a vehicle in Roxbury, killing one and injuring the other.
According to prosecutors, on April 17, 2012, at approximately 4 p.m., Jones approached a vehicle on Dunreath Street carrying a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun. Reaching the passenger’s side door, he repeatedly shot into the vehicle, killing 30-year-old Dinorris Alston and injuring his female companion.

In the early hours of Sunday March 15, Boston police officers responded to 23 Lincoln Street in Hyde Park and found Willie A. Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Roxbury resident was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was 21 years old.

Judge Kenneth Fishman sentenced Tarayiah Hunt to life in prison and Ernest Watkins IV to four to five years on Monday. The pair were convicted in the 2012 murder of Cherby LaJoie.
Watkins, 17, will be held in the Department of Youth Services until he turns 18, when he will be transferred to state prison. Hunt, 23, will be eligible for parole after 15 years.
Hunt and Watkins were part of a group that beat and stabbed 39-year-old LaJoie more than 40 times on Charles Street in Dorchester, according to a press release by the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. Watkins was 14 at the time.

A man was shot to death in broad daylight Saturday on a busy street near the border of Dorchester and Roxbury, police confirmed.
Update: Police have identified the man killed as Luis Ramos, 40, of Boston.
The shooting occurred in the area of 571 Dudley Street, at the intersection of Dudley and Brook Avenue. Officers responded at 3:45 p.m. to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Ramos was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

On Feb. 5, 2015, Mohamed Alfageeh of Allston began serving his 18-month sentence for the deaths of Jessica L. Campbell and John J. Lanzillotti. The sentence came after he pleaded guilty to two charges of vehicular homicide in 2014.
Alfageeh was charged with two counts of motor vehicle homicide and one count of negligent operation of a motor vehicle after a crash on June 21, 2014 claimed the lives of both Campbell and Lanzilotti. He initially submitted an innocent plea but changed his plea in January of this year.

Tasika Matthews was arraigned and held without bail on March 3 for the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Maria Sanchez.
According to Boston Police, Matthews was arrested at her Dorchester home earlier that day and arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court. Innocent pleas were entered on her behalf for charges of murder and armed assault with intent to murder, according to the Boston Globe.
Matthews, 30, allegedly stabbed Sanchez, a Mattapan resident, in the back following a fight that broke out at a Dorchester party in the early hours of October 18, 2014.

Donte Henley was arraigned in West Roxbury Municipal Court Friday for the alleged murder of Kenny Lamour. He is being held without bail.
The Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Henley on Thursday, at his home in South Boston. He is the second suspect arrested in Lamour’s death.
Lamour, 21, was shoveling snow on Centre Street on February 11 when he was shot. Josiah Zachery, 18, was arrested the same day.

Brian MacDonald was sentenced to seven to 10 years in prison Thursday, after he was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 21-year-old college student outside a party at the victim’s Allston home.
Anthony Spaulding was stabbed to death in a fight over excessive noise and spilled champagne in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2013, during a New Year’s Eve party at his house on 48 Pratt Street. MacDonald, an uninvited guest at the party, was originally charged with second-degree murder, but jurors returned with a guilty verdict for voluntary manslaughter, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
“You didn’t just murder Tony, my best friend, that night,” Ariana Taylor, Spaulding’s girlfriend, told MacDonald in a victim impact statement. “You murdered me, too.”
