Man Fatally Shot in Dorchester

**Update (8/14/2014): The Boston Globe has identified the victim of this homicide as Antoine Marquis Dingle-Knight, 27, of Dorchester.**

A man shot in Dorchester Monday night has died, authorities said.

In the evening hours of Monday, Aug. 11, Boston police officers responded to a report of a person shot at 93 Devon St. in Dorchester. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he eventually died.

At about 9:32 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a report of a person shot at 93 Devon St., Dorchester

On arrival, officers observed a male victim outside of the location, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
