In brief:
There were no homicides reported this week in Boston. However, the Boston Police Department released crime data Friday showing that there has been an increase in homicides during the first half of 2014. From Jan. 1 to June 15, 2014, there were 26 reported homicides — five more than were reported during the same period last year.
A spokesperson for BPD declined to comment on the findings.
