Rashaan O'Neil | Homicide Watch Bostonhttp://boston.homicidewatch.org/victims/rashaan-oneil/Latest news about Rashaan O'Neilen-usWed, 05 Mar 2014 19:33:46 -0500Fourth man arrested for McCubbin slayinghttp://boston.homicidewatch.org/2014/03/05/fourth-man-arrested-for-mccubbin-slaying/<p>Prosecutors have charged a Dorchester man they believe to be responsible for a fatal Christmas day shooting after he walked into a police station to retrieve his car, which had been left near the scene of the crime.</p> <p>At his arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court on Wednesday, Ian Holness, 27, pleaded innocent to murdering 36-year-old Rashaan O'Neill, of Randolph.</p> <p>Prosecutors allege that on the night of Dec. 24 Holness and O'Neill separately attended the same concert on Talbot Avenue and an after-party on Wales Street.</p> <p>In the basement of the house-party, Holness allegedly shot O'Neill in the back of the head, prosecutors said.</p> <p>A group of women who had been standing near O'Neill when he was shot told police that as they fled the house they were fired at by someone in a dark sedan.</p> <p>One of the women was hit in the hand and taken to Carney Hospital.</p> <p>Officers canvasing the area where the women were shot at found spent shell casings and a damaged 2002 Jaguar registered to Holness, prosecutors said.</p> <p>Inside the car, they found several more shell casings, which were matched to casings inside the Wales Street home.</p> <p>Holness was arrested later Christmas Day when he entered the police station on Blue Hill Avenue to recover his car.</p> <p>He was ordered held without bail and will return to court on April 8.</p> Todd FeathersWed, 05 Mar 2014 19:33:46 -0500http://boston.homicidewatch.org/2014/03/05/fourth-man-arrested-for-mccubbin-slaying/Rashaan O'NeilIan HolnessInvestigation into Christmas murder of Rashaan O'Neil continueshttp://boston.homicidewatch.org/2014/01/15/rashaan-oneil-draft/<p>The 36-year-old male fatally shot early Christmas morning in Dorchester has been identified as Rashaan O’Neil. The investigation into his death continues, according to Suffolk Country district attorney’s Daniel Conley's office .</p> <p>O'Neil was killed after shots were fired outside a house party at 92 Wales St. He was pronounced dead at the scene.</p> <p>The Associated Press <a href="http://www.cbs6albany.com/news/features/top-story/stories/police-say-at-least-1-shot-at-party-boston-12974.shtml" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.cbs6albany.com']);">reported</a> that the shots were fired after a fight broke out at the party.</p> <p>Another woman at the party was injured by shattered glass.
