Search continues in killing of Perris C. Haynes

Investigators are continuing to search for suspects in connection with the murder of Perris C. Haynes, 29, of Dorchester, who was killed in a double shooting in the early hours of July 20, 2013 on Harold Street in Roxbury, a spokesman for the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.

Haynes was shot at about 1:30 a.m. and was later pronounced dead at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, police said.  According to WGBH, Haynes was a father of one and a DJ who was killed while walking home from a gig.

Boston Police Investigate Double Shooting in the area of Harold Street in Roxbury, One Victim Deceased.

At about 1:37AM on Saturday, July 20th, 2013, officers from District B-2(Roxbury) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 131 Harold Street.

Officers observed a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

While still on scene officers were notified of a second possible gunshot victim at
Holworthy Street. The victim was transported to Beth Isreal Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Boston Police Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call detectives at (617) 343-4470.
